Phillip Martin Sims
Currently a nationally known football announcer and commentator, Phil was born on a farm in Lebanon, Kentucky, grew up in Louisville where he was quarterback for the Southern High School Trojans, then attended Morehead State University where his outstanding gridiron performance earned him a first-round draft pick in the NFL. He played for the Giants his entire pro career and was named MVP of the Super Bowl XXI and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1985 and 1993 seasons.
