Patrick Hughes
Born without eyes and with arms and legs that can never fully extend, Patrick Henry Hughes is a beloved, inspiring expression of strength and faith wherever he appears. Playing trumpet with the University of Louisville Marching Band – his father maneuvering Patrick’s wheelchair through the complex marching formations – has earned him international recognition. He tells his powerful story in his book I Am Potential. “Don’t give up,” he says. “Know there’s a plan, even if you can’t tell what it is or can’t see it.”
