Justice Louis Brandeis
Born in Louisville, Brandeis became one of the most celebrated justices in the history of the United States Supreme Court. After graduating from Harvard University, he practiced law in Massachusetts until President Woodrow Wilson nominated him to the high court in 1916. Throughout his career he was known for "his abiding concern for the rights of individuals." He is buried at the University of Louisville Law School.
